What will your day look like?
- Development and end-to-end ownership of backend services: order management, product data, returns, pick-up lockers, warehouse apps and the integration platform for 30+ couriers;
- Responsibility for code, infrastructure, deployments and production operation of your services;
- Integration with warehouse automation: conveyors, sorters, AutoStore grid, pick-up lockers;
- Architecture decisions for your services (data model, events, infrastructure);
- Contribution to shared libraries and service templates used across the platform;
- Code reviews and mentoring of junior developers;
- Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Google Cloud (partly AWS), event-driven microservices;
- AI-assisted development as a standard part of the workflow;
- Two-week Scrum sprints, daily standups.
Who are we looking for?
- Backend developer with production experience in TypeScript and Node.js; experience with Google Cloud or AWS is preferred;
- Production experience with TypeScript and Node.js;
- Experience with Google Cloud or AWS (preferred);
- Experience with event-driven systems: Pub/Sub or queue consumers, idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling;
- Data modelling on NoSQL (Firestore, DynamoDB) or SQL;
- Integration of external systems and APIs, including timeouts, retries and error handling;
- Production debugging across services using logs and traces;
- Experience leading a migration or major upgrade of a running service;
- Daily use of AI coding tools;
- Plus: Infrastructure as code (Pulumi, CDK or Terraform), experience in warehouse, logistics or e-commerce.
